Marvel Complete Story: X-Men Gold #1 "Options"
Released in November of 2013, X-Men Gold #1 was a special one-shot anthology featuring some of the biggest creator names in X-Men history, gathered together to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Marvel's mutants. One of the standout tales of the issue was “Options!”, written by Len Wein with fantastic artwork by Jorge Molina, that takes place during Giant-Size X-Men #1. It's a look inside the head of Wolverine, Wein’s creation, as he imagines how he could defeat all of the other members of the new team of X-Men now that they have assembled at the mansion for the first time. It’s a great reminder of Wolverine’s early days and why he got to call himself “the best at what he does.” Molina makes all the imaginary violence look like a beautiful all-ages story with lush colors and slightly exaggerated character models. Jorge did such an excellent job in fact, I couldn't find it in my heart to let the tale be separated. Enjoy!
