Virgil Finlay Startling Stories March 1947 illustration for a Murray Leinster story The laws of chance
Time to go on a little background here to why I am so happy to have this. When I first became aware of Pulp magazines two artists stood above the others for me .One is Hanne's Bok and the other is Virgil Finlay. Finlay's technique at this time is pretty flawless. After getting every book I could about his work was obviously keen to get an original. This surfaced at a surprisingly affordable price and am delighted to have it. Mind boggling craft in this artwork.
