Setting the Standard in Comics! - Who's Handbook
I was 13 or 14 (yes, sad, I know) when Marvel's "Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe" came out. It was cool. Then, DC came out with their version, "Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe". Good times. I always felt that Marvel was too descriptive on their Powers, and that DC was too vague. Ideally, if I had my own company, my entries would be somewhere in between.
Wellll ... I don't have my own company, but there are awesome artists who will draw and color stuff for you. And put them into the magic that is PhotoShop to create these "Who's Handbook" entries for the Standard Comics Universe.

I suppose they would really be part of a series called the "Standard Comics Universe Encyclopedia" or something like that, but the jokey "Who's Handbook" conveys the idea pretty quick.
Gerry Turnbull helped whip up the entries.
Everyone seems to ramble on about OHOTMU, but -- gawd, is it so bland looking compared to the dynamic DC version, which actually looked like a comic book. So, we went with something more graphically interesting like Who's Who.
Since none of these characters actually appear in comics, I had to make it all up. I hope the writing isn't too bad.
As always, these things are meant as little peeks into an alternate universe where DC, Marvel, _and_ Standard Comics published super-hero comics. Hope that these convey that idea and provide some amusement.
