Photos - Toon Lagoon
On a recent trip, I was surprised to see the wonderful displays and tributes to comic strips at Universal Studios in Orlando Florida. I knew they had the Marvel material (for how much longer with Disney now owning it?) but the strip art was a shocker. I enjoyed walking through this area and tried to capture most of the designs on camera. At the cafe they sold Dagwood sandwiches which I just had to have. When you went inside the various stores, I was disappointed to find that most of the items for sale were the same as the rest of the park, Simpsons and Seuss. No classic comic strip related material for sale but still great to see the presentations and designs. I know this isn't really comic art per se but I thought it was related enough to be shared with the CAF community and might bring some interest from others.
