"We Have Met the Enemy and He is Us" is likely the most famous saying that Walt Kelly created during his incredible run on the Pogo comic strip. The words were famously associated with Earth Day and are still widely used today. The story contains some amazing artwork and terrific lettering and also has the gentle humor the newspaper strip was famous for when dealing with serious subjects such as pollution and gun control. I am honored to be the caretaker of this incredible 32 page complete story which Walt Kelly created for the Pogo paperback that used the famous line as its title.
