MJ Novel Project
In 2003, Marvel Comics asked me to do 60 drawings for the first Mary Jane novel. The drawings told the story of the novel from start to finish. Only 12 drawings appeared as spot illustrations in the first novel. Another 12 or so were reused in the second novel, even though the drawings pertained to the first story. The rest of the illustrations where from sequences that got cut out entirely. I consider this to be the high watermark for my pencil rendered work as well as my use of models and photography.
