Sy" Barry (born March 12, 1928), is an American comic strip artist, best known for his work on "The Phantom" comic strip, which he drew for over 30 years. He's now still very invested in the Phantom comics and community, and recently (as of June 2024) was involved in an Australian Charity art sale. Sy Barry 'modernized' the Phantom comic strip from the more cartoon like style from Wilson McCoy. My personal favorite Sy Barry drawn story is the 'Founding of the Jungle Patrol', a Sunday story from 1964-1965, and secondly the daily story 'The Hydra' from 1968.
