When my comic reading taste matured taking me to the Schwartz level, I embraced his big three in different ways. I loved Kane for his action and the great costumes he designed, Green Lantern, the Atom, and Adam Strange. Murphy Anderson for his Hawkman and of course his inks on Carmine Infantino. Of the three Carmine was the man! He made the Flash come alive with the those great speed lines, that slanted figure of Barry Allen ending a multi-mile, micro-second run and oh those memorable multiple images. Plus to see Adam Strange soar through the skies, images to last a lifetime. To me Carmine was always the big DC gun more then Kane or Kubert or Swan. I was so disappointed when Carmine stopped drawing the Flash and took an executive position with DC, all those stories we never got to see. So he became one of my seven grails. There isn't a Flash or an Adam Strange here yet, but one day... Until then here's what I have to present. Enjoy!
