Dave Christensen graduated from Art Center College of Design in 1973. He moved to NY and worked in book covers and magazine illustrations. He illustrated more than 150 book covers, including some iconic pieces like the first editions of Stephen King's "The Shining", "The Stand" or "Salem's Lot".
After four years he moved back to LA where he got hired at Seiniger Advertising to work on sketches, comps and poster paintings for film posters. That relationship has lasted until today, with Dave still working as an illustrator and a designer for the most important agencies of the film and entertainment industry. The list of one sheets that feature Dave's artwork is impressive; "Driving Miss Daisy", "Christmas Vacation", "Major League", "casper", "Pan's Labyrinth" and many, many others.
After 40 years in the industry and more than 1500 projects on his back, Christensen's work is a reference in film and tv advertising.
Dave recently decided to sell most of the artworks on his files, and I'm helping him out. All the original pieces you can find on this gallery are actual production art from these movies. They're all for sale unless marked as "sold". If you're interested in anything, contact me at marcsansrius@hotmail.com for details.
Enjoy!
