The Art of Neal Adams
During the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic, I was able to acquire an assortment of vintage artwork by Neal Adams, primarily his non-comic book illustrations and works he did in commercial advertising, concept and design work, including licensed products such as Evian, Jim Beam, Kodak and properties for Marvel Comics and Toy Biz action figures. I've never seen 'em before, so they're pretty amazing to view, let alone own and see in person. Many are done on a translucent thin tracing type paper he uses to illustrate on. Neal Adams was my favorite artist when I collected comic books in the late 1970's to early 1980's, so these are really nostalgic relics of his creative compositions beyond what he did with super-heroes. I used to own "The Art of Neal Adams" books from the 1980's which would often include works he did for movie posters and non-comics, so I sort of built my own portfolio book of similar content, now here to share with other fans.
