All art in this gallery is from the amazing graphic novel 'De Tuin van Daubigny' (The Garden of Daubigny) from 2016 by Bruno de Roover and Luc Cromheecke It tells the biograpahy of Charles-François Daubigny who was an inspirator to a whole generation of Impressionist artists from the late 1800s. Daubigny was one of the first artists to actually go out into the countryside to actually see the natural envrionment that inspired and that he painten. What I like so much about the book, apart from the atmospheric art is the fact that for once, we have a happy protagonist who just leads a happy life, enjoys his work, enjoys his friends and family, instead of thhe big drama is often found by many to be more interesting. Go check it out if you can! The title refers to a painting (one of the last he did) by Vincent van Gogh of the garden at the house of Daubigny in Auvers-sur-Oise in France.
