Moxie

Moxie was an attempted strip by David Gantz. It had the feel of Pogo, like a lot of the strips did back in the late 50s, early 60s. This was published a few times in a Sunday comics section that was given for free to California super markets. It didn't last longer than a few weeks, but the strips in it seemed pretty great. This was one of them. I have some promo art and one of the Sunday-like strips. Moxie and his friends give me a lot of joy. Gantz did funny animal stories for Timely Comics and apparantly assisted Charles Schultz in the 50s.
