The Phantom - TESSA - Terry Welsby (Frew / Australia)
Terry Welsby (aka TESSA) was a cover artist who has drawn covers for Frew's The Phantom comics under the name Tessa. He came out of retirement in 2005 to provide a few more covers for The Phantom, including the 2006 Annual. Tessa produced some of the most amazing cover art from the 1990's. I've hunted down most of my favourites which can be viewed here. * Side note that for the first few years he didn't seem to sign his covers. Where this is the case, I've done thorough research and discussed with several experts in the space (Glenn Ford, Jeremy Macpherson) to reconfirm that TESSA produced these covers.
