4 Sale Art - Jungle girls
I came to comic art through collecting jungle girl comics of the 1940's. Early on and through much of my time as an art collector I got commissions of jungle girls. My favorites were Sheena and Rulah and often I asked artists to put the two of them into a single piece. Different publishers but many times similar artists. I wanted to see how some of my favorite artists of the day might approach the theme. At one point I probably had over 300 of these...maybe more. I sold off more than half of those and was down to 2 porfolios of just the best stuff. I am cutting that collection down a lot so many pieces going up. I find at auction these smaller pieces often do dismally and auction houses want to bunch them in lots and also add a large premium on less expensive pieces. Not good for buyer or seller so I am going to offer them only here. Eventually if they don't sell they might go up on eBay or elsewhere but hopefully prices such that any collector who wants one of these can get one. Many are paid convention sketches and the asking price is lower than my base cost on them. Shipping I can't help...$40 to North America. For pieces that are smaller (less than or equal to 11 x 14. , I can ship untracked and uninsured in the US for $20-25. It is what it costs but I will combine items for a single shipping fee.
