Quality Communications reprinted and repackaged 2000ad stories for the US market during the late eighties and early nineties. Extremely cheaply produced, they proved to be highly controversial with the fans due to the way that they both resized the artwork, and also crudely coloured the original black and white art. New covers were commissioned from American artists of varying degrees of quality, although they often looked worse than they really should have due to the bad colouring.
