Lyra

Between 1992 and 2022 or 2023 you could count the number of Spawn comics I read on one hand. When Scorched came out I was intrigued by some of the original art I saw from it, though it was a year or so after it came out that I looked at it. It didn’t really grab me, but I have to admit I read most of its run, month after month Over the summer a fellow loaned me around a hundred issues of Spawn, Gunslinger Spawn and King Spawn for me to read. I wasn’t really feeling them, until Lyra showed up. I liked the character and the story arc she was in, and was disappointed when it came to an abrupt end. In the weeks before I created this subgallery I saw two pages with minor Lyra appearances and passed on them. Then I found out I’d missed her entire origin issue up for auction at ComicLink, followed by learning I’d missed my favorite page of her on Raremarq. I stumbled onto two pages with her three days after Adelso Corona put them up for sale, and he was nice enough to offer me two more pages with her he had yet to list. Hopefully more will be added later.
