Pratt, George
George Pratt, for my money, does some of the best painting around. He produced some terrific Batman covers in the early 90's for Detective, fairly recently did a beautiful Woverine book that I wish would be collected, and of course is probably best known for the beautiful and poignant Enemy Ace War Idyll book. Also a very laid back and nice gentleman, who is probably much more at home in the Carolinas than Brooklyn, when I used to see him alll the time at NYC shows in the early 90's.
