HOTZ KYLE

To me, Kyle Hotz is the true living heir of Bernie Wrightson (and I say this on purpose considering Kelley Jones has sometime been presented in these terms).Like the rightly proclamed master of horror, Kyle displays a strong sense for moods, shadows and blacks, horror in the largest sense while retaining a sense of humor and a fantastic capacity for cartooning.All of these qualities resulting in a splendid storyteller and illustrator.My favorites works are his Monster Matinee for Chaos(which seem hard to top),Cold Blooded ,billy the Kid and Call McDonald for Dark Horse,his Carnage,Man-thing and The Hood for Marvel and his various debuting Malibu works.
