Simon Bisley miscellaneous

Here you can see several b&w pieces by Simon Bisley, the man with whom all that collecting thing started about eight years ago. After reading the Lobo/Batman story I wanted to see more of this extremely talented artist and purchased all the Lobo series which turned out to be even better graphically speaking. Then at a site I saw a page from Lobo Paramilitary Special. At that time I didn't know that originals were offered for sale, it was quite a shock, much better than any luxury editions etc.... That was my first purchase and from that point I started chasing Bisley's originals on ebay and merchants' sites. During these collecting years for financial reasons I had to part with pieces that I should never have sold which I regret a lot and also missed great opportunities thinking there would be no end to it. Apparently I was wrong :) I don't have any painted art by the Biz for two reasons : the first is a question of personal taste : I have always preferred black and white pieces even if Bisley is as talented with colors as he is with drawing, it's just that for some reason I am more sensitive to the shape and the quality of the line in drawings than to the beauty of the colors. The second reason is financial : painted pieces are much more expensive at least those I'm interested in and I prefer quality b&w art to something so so in color. So, enjoy, any commentaries would be much appreciated.
