Some years ago, Ferris State University, of Big Rapids, Michigan, hired me to draw portraits of all their former presidents, interim or acting presidents. Now when they elect a new president, I draw a new portrait. The original portraits are 14 x 17 inches in size. Ferris also had me draw portraits to be presented to their honorary doctorates. These are smaller than the presidential portraits - -8 1/2 x 11 inches. These were scanned from photocopies made before the originals were framed. Unfortunately, the art was over-sized, so these images are cropped a bit. I drew more of these than currently presented here and will add to the gallery as I go through my records and find the photocopies, or if I am requested to draw more. Unfortunately, with one or two large portrait, I never made a photocopy - -the deadlines were tight and I forgot to make a copy for my records. The pictures are in pen, brush and ink, drawn in a style inspired by the classic pen work of illustrator Franklin Booth.
