* George Pratt

One of the saddest things about being out of comics from the late 80s until the late 90s was missing out on the emergence of George Pratt. Here's a guy that combines excellent technique with raw emotion. He particularly conveys introspective and somewhat somber emotions well: love, caressing, defeat, fear. I met George at the 2003 San Diego ComicCon and immediately felt a connection with him. We spent a good hour talking about blues music, documentary films, and his art. I'll always look forward to what he's doing.
