This piece is on 8.5x11" paper and is edge-to-edge art. I adore this piece. This isn't a cover, a splash, a historic interior page...nope. It's just one panel on one page, and yet it has near-grail status with me. The yellow coloring was produced using a lacquer such as the kind used on the sides of boats...or so that's what George told me at the 2003 ComicCon. I hope he wasn't kidding! Netsuke was a four issue limited series that won George an Eisner Award in 2003.
