TONY de ZUNIGA is the Man responsible for paving the way to the American Publications. He was the first artist to penetrate the DC Comics. During the early '70s he brought the DC Editors Joe Orlando and Carmine Infantino to the Philippines to choose from hundreds of applicants. This brings opportunities to comic artists like Nestor Redondo, Alfredo Alcala, Alex Niño, Ruben Yandoc, Fred Carillo, Rudy Nebres, Rudy Florese, E.R Cruz, Noly Panaligan, Rico Rival and Jess Jodloman, just to name a few. Tony's Best works for DC Comics - Phantom Stranger Series, The Black Orchid, All Star Western Featuring JONAH HEX - A character he created with the author. Jonah Hex was made into a motion picture this year and will be released next year starring James Brolin and Megan Fox. His Marvel works includes Conan the Barbarian, Blade, Dracula, Satana, Tarzan and Kazar. Truly, he is one of my all-time favorites.
