One of the leading forces behind the '90s new look of comics, Marc Silvestri had an excellent run on the X-men in the late '80s, introducing a gritty, European feel to Marvel's mutants. And Dan Green was a perfect fit for his gritty style. The outback years of the X-Men is my favourite period of Claremont's run.
