BlexBolex (a.k.a. Granger, Bernard - France)
"BlexBolex" (a.k.a. Bernard Granger, Blex Bolex) did appear on the french comics-scene in the late eighties, self-publishing a stack of homemade "comics" which rate among the finest works I ever came across. Most were produced in ultra tiny runs of 20 to 50 copies, each handmade, each a work of art! His seemingly crude "art brut" style has evolved over the years which has opened up the world to a much broader public. Frequently published in Feraille Magazine, Strapazin, Hôpital Brut, Le Muscle Carabine and elsewhere. Recently has won a prestigious award “The best bookdesign from all over the world” for his "L'Imagier" (publication for children).
