I looked at this piece for a year and half, before bringing my saved pennies to Chicago in 2008. My heart just stopped when the Aspen booth was suddenly empty, because we all knew it could only mean on thing. The whole convention was in a haze for the rest of the weekend. All of our lives are much...less without Mr. Turner. In San Diego the Frank from Aspen remembered me from all the times I spent gazing through the art books, and was kind enough to allow me to purchase the piece at the same price he had originally offered it to for. That was a meaningful gesture, and much appreciated.
