Rafa Amat: SNAKE PROJECT
Formed of self-conclusive but consecutive chapters that can make up a limited series or a graphic novel, Snake tells the story of an apparently ordinary man who discovers he has extraordinary powers. What starts as a superbeing story, full of sex and violence, is turning into a sci-fi thriller plenty of secret government conspiracies and spectacular battles, to end becoming a supernatural epic about the fight between God and Lucifer. Each chapter is accompained by a biblical passage refered to the events narrated in it and which are giving clues about the apocalyptic tone that the story is adopting at the end. The clues that are being introduced since the begining are anticipating the future course of the narration, but allways the next spin will lead the story to an unknown direction. And of course, nobody could guess that, at the end, tables will turn in a unexpected way. Because, who could imagine that, in this story, God is the bad guy and the future of mankind is in the hands of the son of Lucifer? It´s a story by David Caparrós (writer) and Rafa Amat (artist).
