Some others are in the Gorilla room. Jungle comics (with the exception of Dell's. Joe Kubert's and Dark Horse's Tarzan) tend to be incredibly repetitive. If you have read one you have probably read them all. On the other hand the art can be quite remarkable especially when you are dealing with the strong female leads common to Golden age comics. When the comics are boring but the art is iconic is when I go after the art- here are a few examples... Recent research I have done indicate that while Jungle Heroines like Sheena are though to be essentially female versions of Tarzan, strong female leads in early Jungle movies filmed out of Chicago may have been part of the inspiration for Burroughs to create Tarzan.
