Amazing painting in progress by Austrailian illustrator Patrick J. Jones. The painting is titled "Death of Diana". Here's Patrick's thoughts on the painting: The Death of Diana is an original idea. I find if I start with a back story it makes for a non-phony piece of art with some depth ( let's call it method painting ). I have another two scenes in mind to enlarge the drama: the kidnapping of Diana by pirates and her rescue and tragic escape, which leads of course to the death of Diana. Diana's sister is Andromeda, the heroine. I'm planning a painting with her chained and left to die before escaping from slave pirates to rescue Diana. The series will continue, if all goes well, to complete a story of betrayal and revenge.
