SHAZAM

These are matte paintings of the Elders/Greek Gods. Matte paintings are painted on glass. Long before computers these were used for decades in movies & tv. Used on the CBS live action SHAZAM tv series which aired from Sept 1974- Sept 1977. Which they placed Billy Batson/ actor Michael Gray in front of in certain episodes. When he'd be talking to the elders. The series starred the late great Les Treymane as Mr.Mentor aka Shazam the wizard. Jackson Bostwick as Captain Marvel in season one 1974-75 & John Davey as Captain Marvel 1975-77. Not sure who the painter was, but I know it wasn't John Romita SR. Because I asked him, but boy there sure seems to be a strong Romita SR look to them.
