God Hates Astronauts #1 Cover Art (Youngbloods #1 Homage)

I had to include a GHA piece in my best of 2014. This is the modern book that got my attention in 2013/2014 and I picked this piece up from Ryan in early 2014 when I noticed that he was using it for an advertisement for Image's upcoming reprint of his first trade.

The series is great, laced with humor and sarcasm, it's a refreshing departure from the normal capes and babes. I recommend this series to anyone that likes to laugh and doesn't shy away from the sicker side of comedy.

I was very excited to hear that the long standing cult favorite was finally receiving Image's much deserved attention and a new series would be released towards the end of 2014. I was happy to have a full team illustration like this but 9 months in my possession, Ryan blew me away by choosing this as the variant cover to #1.
