Which piece in your gallery is your favorite and why?
Thundarr The Barbarian by Dan Panosian. Thundarr The Barbarian holds a special place in my heart. My dad was always working so I always enjoyed the limited time we had together. Dad would take me to this Barber Shop around the corner to get my hair cut on Saturday Mornings. He must have planned our visits around Thundarr The Barbarian, because the show was always on when we got there. The broken moon was always a topic of discussion with the shops proprietor and other customers. We would discuss different ways a broken moon would would effect the Earth.
Please tell us a little about yourself.
When I was in highschool in the 90s I worked for a local baseball/comic book shop. On the side I sold comics at a few of the local comic book conventions in south Jersey. After college I got a job for a defense contractor and have worked for them the last 25 years. I'm married, with a daughter in college and son getting ready to head there next year.
How long have you been collecting comic art and what prompted you to start?
Twenty five years ago I started buying pages on ebay. I had a fantastic original art collection; John Byrne, Jim Lee, Mcfarlane pages. I sold them all to pay the PMI off on a house. I decided to pick up the hobby once again to keep me sane during COVID. My goal is to continue to pick up a cover, page, or commission from the greats in the comic book biz and hopefully make some new friends in these dealings.
How do you display/store your collection at home?
I have art hanging on the walls in my home office. THe rest are in portfolios.
What are your top five most wanted original pages or commissions?
