Which piece in your gallery is your favorite and why?
One of my favorite things growing up was monster movies and magazines, so to own a horror page out of Creepy magazine by Frank Frazetta is a dream come true.
Please tell us a little about yourself.
I came at an early age from the north, to crush my enemies, and hear the lamentation of their women. A winsome wench and some good grog are quite a fine time, too.
How long have you been collecting comic art and what prompted you to start?
I grew up reading Tarzan, Tolkien, Howard, and many other fantasy and science fiction authors, as well as watching the same on Saturday matinees and midnight movies. I would wander those sections at the local bookstore, and fell in love with the artwork gracing those covers. Then I found the art-book section where Ballantine's books on Frazetta were perched for my eyes to behold, and I was in heaven. Fast forward years later to an ad in Realms of Fantasy magazine proclaiming "You can own the original fantasy art to your favorite book" (placed by one Jane Frank of Worlds of Wonder - thank you, Jane), and the collecting began, and continues today.
How do you display/store your collection at home?
I hang art throughout the house, and I do like most of us, I stack it against the wall when space runs out, hahaa.
What are your top five most wanted original pages or commissions?
Impossible answer, but: 1 Frazetta cover painting - my choice 1 Boris cover painting - my choice 1 Corben painting - my choice 1 Berkey King Kong painting - my choice 1 Whelan Mars or Elric series cover painting - my choice I could live with that answer
