Q: | Which piece in your gallery is your favorite and why? |
A: | Regrettably I decided on 2013 that I would remove any and all art from my Gallery that is to be expected to remain in my permanent collection after I foolishly made a trade for a page that I have regretted letting go since the moment I shipped it out. So out of my remaining art on CAF I'll say that my favorite piece is the biggest piece I have in my collection which is the covers to Ex Machina 48, 49 & 50 on a 22" x 30" single artboard done by Tony Harris which some people will recognize as my avatar on the CGC boards. |
Q: | Please tell us a little about yourself. |
A: | I am a comic book and original comic art collector that is located in El Salvador, Central America. Needless to say getting art to El Salvador is a big feat as being shipped directly to me would incur in additional import taxes so I figure ways of receiving items mostly in the USA and then travelling myself to get them back home while attending conventions in both East and West coast. I have never had a problem selling or trading art as I have shipped art to USA, Ireland, UK, Germany, Spain and Israel. |
Q: | How long have you been collecting comic art and what prompted you to start? |
A: | I have been an original comic art collector since april 22, 2009 when I purchased my first piece of art from JH Williams site. I have loved comic books since I was 8 years old and amazingly I never realized that I could purchase the original art to the comics before then. I've always had a love for literature and art which comics integrates perfectly for me. |
Q: | How do you display/store your collection at home? |
A: | All of my Original art is stored in Itoya portfolios or mylar bags with backboards. I will never frame any of my art to display at home as I like to keep my art in the most pristine condition. |
Q: | What are your top five most wanted original pages or commissions? |
A: | A Spidey page by Todd McFarlane with panels showing Spidey and the famous spaghetti webbing, a Sandman page featuring Morpheus or Death by Kelley Jones, a Frank Miller page from his Daredevil run, a Jack Kirby page from New Gods featuring Darkseid and last but not least a John Romita piece from Amazing Spider-Man featuring Spidey or Green Goblin. |
