Which piece in your gallery is your favorite and why?
My favorite piece is constantly changing from one day to the next as it should when you collect from so many of your favorite artists. Currently, it would be my "Amazing Spider-Man 10 pg 18 Black Cat and Peter" by Humberto Ramos. This was such a touching scene, and the angles and framing on this piece are stunning. https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1515837
Please tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Michele, and I am a graphic designer living in California who LOVES to collect. I have collections of animation art, comic art, antique books, and more.
How long have you been collecting comic art and what prompted you to start?
I've been collecting comic art for about ten years, and I was introduced to it by a friend. My first piece, a "Coraline" book illustration by Dave McKean, wasn't technically comic art, but it got me started down the path I am now on.
How do you display/store your collection at home?
I have a few pieces framed and displayed around my house but most are in art portfolios.
What are your top five most wanted original pages or commissions?
1. Anything from "Stardust" by Charles Vess. 2. "Black Cat" #5 cover by Terry and Rachel Dodson 3. Spider-Man piece from Mike Mayhew 4. James Jean “Fables” cover 5. Joshua Middleton piece
