Q&A with Gregory Tigges

Which piece in your gallery is your favorite and why?

Gabriele Dell'Otto Hulk. Colored pencils on black paper. I love Gabriele's mastery in light and shadow. He uses the black paper to great advantage in this piece. For using only colored pencils, the piece pops with light!

Please tell us a little about yourself.

Air Force veteran developing computer based training in New York. I volunteer at comic conventions mostly to meet artists, purchase sketches/pre con commissions, and find some good silver age comics.

How long have you been collecting comic art and what prompted you to start?

I have been collecting since 2010 and signed on to CAF in 2013 to start posting sketches, commissions and published pieces. My love of comics and the artists that drew them pulled me to actually meet them and get that one of a kind sketch, commission or published page.

How do you display/store your collection at home?

I have some commissions specially framed and have a wall committed to all art in my office. All other pieces are stored in portfolios of various sizes.

What are your top five most wanted original pages or commissions?

I would love a nice Alex Ross painted page. Still looking for that perfect Jack Kirby or Steve Ditko piece. A Jim Lee or Dale Keown special page or commission would be awesome!
