Q&A with Charles Dahan

Q:	Which piece in your gallery is your favorite and why?
A:	Dr. Strange painting by Gabriele Dell'Otto. I had my eye on this one forever. It looked so realistic and movie-like. In my mind, these types of pieces defined a new era of comic artwork as we were seeing different types of artists from different locations in the world with very different backgrounds in art technique. Once I acquired it, it was over for me. I had to get more painted pieces.

Q:	Please tell us a little about yourself.
A:	Married 20+ years. I have two awesome kids aged 11 + 13. I've been collecting comics since the mid 70s and artwork since the mid 90s. When I am not parenting or husbanding, I'm a psychologist working out of Montreal.

Q:	How long have you been collecting comic art and what prompted you to start?
A:	I've been collecting artwork since the mid 90s but I started slow. What really got me into it was when we started to see more painted/colored artwork (i.e., Jusko, late 90s). I'm more a collector who likes to display his collection as opposed to collecting artwork like baseball cards, if that makes any sense. If I wont display it, I likely would not buy it and would rather leave the door open for someone else to buy and display it.

Q:	How do you display/store your collection at home?
A:	Everything is framed and displayed.
