Which piece in your gallery is your favorite and why?
Some pages of art come and go, but this V for Vendetta page is forever. "It belongs in a museum" comes to mind every time I look at it! V has become not just a comic character, but a cultural icon, a representation of greater ideals. It's a privilege to own, not just a page from this iconic book, but such a significant one...
Please tell us a little about yourself.
I'm an American expat film producer, based in Budapest, Hungary. Movies and storytelling are my life and passion. I feel very blessed that I'm able to earn money doing something I love. It really doesn't feel like work at all!
How long have you been collecting comic art and what prompted you to start?
I started in 2005, when I saw an ebay auction for a piece of Sandman art. Before that I was never really conscious of the hobby or of our ability to own the actual drawings that made up the comics! It's such a simple thing, yet it blew my mind!
How do you display/store your collection at home?
Almost all pieces are framed and on the wall. It is ART, and unless it is treated as such I try not to have too many pieces lingering in a binder, out of sight, It's quite a bit of money to spend on something that won't be seen, isn't it?!
What are your top five most wanted original pages or commissions?
-A cover quality interior or cover from Steve Epting's run on Captain America - one of my favorite runs ever. -A page from Sandman #50 featuring Dream (only a couple pages will do) -A page or cover from Transformers #7 or #8 by William Johnson - it's one of those childhood grails... -A David Mazzucchelli Batman Year 1 page...I'll keep dreaming... -A page from David Aja's Iron Fist run - he's not selling!! :(
