Man- this is the kind of page that terms like "awesome" and "amazing" fail to describe. Tony Stark does not get any more classic (or classy!) than this! SOOOO jealous!

I'm very sentimental for Daredevil Colan pages. But if I could sit and watch Gene Colan draw any page I've seen from start to finish, this would probably be my choice. (My jealousy was reading Mark Evanier recount how he used to watch Jack Kirby compose and create his pages.) Thanks for the kind words.

Really nice. I am a huge fan of McWilliams who does not get nearly enough appreciation.

I completely agree. I may have a page from his other Creepy 4 story "Blood and Orchids!"... (though I could be confusing that with an Angelo Torres Creepy page). I'll have to check... I'll add it to this site if I find it.

Actually, it looks like he's not annoyed. Rather, impressed by the hippie offering to help him. Looks like Stan had some sympathy for the early 70's youth.

Hey, Ted! Haven't conversed with you in years... anyway, I'm sure you are right so I'll change the title. It's funny how a page out of context coupled with speed of pushing this out there led to such an error! Thanks - Bill.

Bill, These are great and I absolutely love the Cobra and Hyde villains. If you ever want to sell one…..

Thanks, Steven. DD #32 was the first Marvel I ever read and when I had some money I began a quest to collect as many of the original pages as I could... probably around 1985 or so. I missed the full page splash where Hyde/Cobra are leading DD to the lighthouse by about 30 minutes. Mike Burkey had it for sale in the Comic Buyer's Guide one week. Anyway, I'll keep it in mind. Thanks again for the kind words.

This is a beautiful piece of storytelling. I'm so glad it didn't get lost in the mail. I can totally see how Adrienne would have been upset. Thanks for sharing your lovely Colan artwork!

Adrienne was just a pleasure to communicate with. She counter-balanced Gene's more reserved nature perfectly. I bought dozens of Colan art pieces over the years from them and enjoyed every interaction.
