Given that Rubinstein was inking 304, I would not be surprised if he was an unnamed inker on 303 and kept a copy of the pencils... Coincidentally, I ask Jim Salicrup in 2005 if Todd did all the work on this page or if he had an assistant or ghost finisher/inker. Jim said that Todd did all the work on this by himself. I was giving Joe the benefit of the doubt. |

I met him at a con shortly after they came out. I asked if he would do a sketch and he said he had his portfolio with him if I wanted a look. Without hesitation I said yes, so he told me to meet him at the Marvel table (it was only a table then) in an hour. I did and we went to the outer hall and I had first dibs on every page in his portfolio. Probably over 100 pages, including Hulk. I only had enough for these four, which I thought were the best of the group. There were a couple of Hulks that were great, but I was more interested in SM then. Very happy with my choices. |
