A marvelous drawing by Gerbault! Like Armand Vallée and Chéri Hérouard, he published a lot of illustrations in the french Magazine La Vie Parisienne in the first half of the 20th Century. But this particular drawing must be a concept for a costume of a theater play (he produced a lot of concepts like this one, always really striking and colourful). Yes, and Vald'Es too. :) They are amongst my favourite, together with Léonnec, Milliere and Prejelan. |
