Right, I hadn't realized or remembered that Bill did the whole issue of Justice Machine Annual #1. And he's probably the best D&D artist of that era.
The extra penciling really was what sold me on this page, as well as it was one of the pages both had physically worked on. According to Leialoha about half the later Fables pages were inked from digital printouts, because it sometimes took too long to physically send the penciled pages from England to Leialoha (and he had many of those for sale as well). Which means there must be a bunch of pencil pages around, but Buckingham left them in England when he came to SDCC. It's also amusing that Leialoha prices them by the amount of time it took him to work on the page (you can barely see up in the top right corner a notation 3 hours 30 minutes), making this one of the mid-range pages.
It came out wonderfully. I hope commissions like this will give Richard some minor encouragement to return to the series some day.
