How rare! When was it done?  This is one of the rare times I have bought a book that was already signed or had a sketch already done. I've had it forever (10+ years at least). I don't remember when I bought it exactly or the price (maybe $40-50). I did buy it off of eBay. At the time I bought it, I was more interested in the fact that it was a 1st print hardback. I didn't know the signature was hard to get and the fact that it had a simple sketch wasn't advertised in the auction description. I do remember the seller being a rare books dealer and not a comic book seller. I guess the seller knew the value of the book, but not of the signature or sketch. It was a happy accident and I still love reading this story. |
