Funny, I indeed thought this was a Liefeld piece when first looking at those two characters, but the overally prelim cover is truly beautiful. I particularly love Wolvie (obviously,) but the stylish finesse of Tota's lines is the main attraction for me. Congrats on choosing another great piece of OA to add to your ever-expanding impressive collection.

Spot-on description for a particularly spectacular cover. It has it all as you so aptly described it: the composition that is not sacrificing simplicity or clarity, the characters placements, not to mention the solid inks (also a favorite of mine) all make for a particularly impressive cover by Sprouse and Story.
And indeed, the subtle little splats of blood really give the impression that the picture has been taken mid-action at the exact right moment to catch that glorious money shot. Also fond of the sombre background that reinforces the focus on Midnighter and where the main action is at. Truly happy for you!! Looking forward to seeing the next 11 entries leading up to you birthday.

I already complimented you about that stunner of a DPS, but here I go again, that's an awesoe acquisition. I also fondly remember discovering Skroce's work on ASM after Bagley, and even though I wasn't fond of no longer having Bagley on the title, I still recognized and was able to enjoy the dynamism and sexiness of Skroce's style.
Huge, huge congrats for gathering both versions. If we could have discussed this prior to all that, I would have been able to tell you that two versions existed, but no worries, the awesome Paul P stepped in and saved the game. Truly happy for you, my friend.

You can do a Bagley year as far as I'm concerned, that would make my year as I never tire of watching Mark's work. Your collection is getting better and better each day, Paul. Congrats on that double spread. USM was a great series and a particularly clever and interesting reimagining of Spidey's life for the 00's.

Totally agree with you, and the most notable loss is Robin's relevant expression with regards to the hero's doubt which does make for a nice counterpoint to the mask held below and his masked face we're usually used to seeing most.
