Detective Comics #500 Hawkman Page 2 Owner: Scott Isaacson Comment posted on 4/4/2025 Nice acquisition, sir. I've got page 3 from this story. This is the best Hawkman story from Kubert, in my humble opinion. He really had fun with this story. |

Heart of Juliet Jone - 4 October 1968 Owner: Fan of Art Board Comment posted on 6/15/2024 Congratulations on picking this dynamic daily up. I owned it for many years and decided to part with it during one of my art purges. I purchased this from Steven Ray Austin many years ago, he was one of Stan's assistants. The first panel is what clinched it for me. |

An excellent example, so beautifully constructed. It exhibits two key features that my On Stage daily which I spoke about during my Comic Art Live chat on YouTube exhibits. Composition and geometric shapes. The triangular composition in panel two is what could be found all over my On Stage strip. The first panel composition laid out to lead the eye from head to head as they get bigger and closer to us is almost identical to the final panel of my On Stage strip. This is so great to see. I can only hope Chris Snorek sees this and selects it as one of the "show and tell" pieces for next Thursday's Comic Art Live Update show! Kotzky, Drake, Starr - my top three (in that particular order). Absolutely love your early Starr examples, Ruben! |

Apartment 3-G 1961-05-19 Owner: Ruben DaCollector Comment posted on 1/14/2022 A beautiful, early example from the 1st month of the strip, the 11th daily. This is when the girls first encounter the Professor who lives down the hall from them in 3H. How do I know? I own the daily 05-20-61 immediately following, daily #12 - Reuben definitely has a superior example. Great find, my friend! |
