I was debating what character to get. I usually love to see an artist tackle Vampirella, I was thinking maybe Fathom but for some reason I thought Roxy would be perfect for him. He did a stunning job on this!

When I picked this up, I was stunned and delighted. Darwyn said, "That may be the best reaction I've ever got." It turned out great, I love it. He said he had to Google Vampi for reference because he had only drawn her maybe once before. Amazing talent - draws her once and makes her his own. Staggeringly talented guy. I feel very lucky to have this.

Hey, Kevin was my first pick, but he wasn't there, so had to get in Phil's line! I would never try to trick anyone, it's bad karma. Your Phil sketch turned out great too. I just posted my Scarlet Witch, take a look. I was hoping it would turn out more like the other sketches of his I gave him for reference (including a really nice pencil Scarlet Witch). I think I was first in his line Saturday and I was the last one to get my drawing late Sunday afternoon.

I expected a quick doodle and was blown away when I opened up the book! Would love to see this blown out into a full sketch. Might try to do it digitally. Love this and was so excited to get it.

The only one that comes to mind is...Joe Jusko. And only because that also happened to me. I commissioned the Vampirella you see in my gallery, then it was later turned into a cover as well! But yes, he should draw every book and every cover. At least the ones Adam Hughes is not doing.

I agree, I can't complain! And...persistence pays off (or I hope it will shortly). Chris got back to me recently and said he will ship the drawings to me shortly. I'm thrilled that someone as busy and high profile as him (he had a little movie called The Croods to work one) is taking the time to do this. Love his style and hope to have these in hand soon!
Scott, you are correct - this is very close to what it looks like. The other image is a picture from Steve - it may be a photo or large scan. When I hold the painting up to my computer screen, it's very close.
Than you, I totally agree. This blew me away - much more detailed and extravagant than what I expected to get. I will try to scan or get a photo of the whole painting. It is large and this is all that I could get on the scanner bed!
