Plain clothes Carter Hall in the last panel is drawn so masterfully.
In the late 1980’s early 1990’s I saw Bill Sienkiewicz draw a sketch of Nightcrawler in Berkeley, California (Dr. Comics and Mr. Games? or Comic Relief?). It mesmerized my young artist self and had profound effects on me. The way he darted around the drawing, sizing up and laying out an image that was only in his head, captivated me. Some people I have spoken to say it was a showman's parlor trick, but to my young and eager mind, it was evidence of a higher skill I wanted to achieve.
I doubt this is the same sketch, but it is similar.
