Such an awesome piece! So happy for you. Congrats!
I was eyeing this for the longest time and by the time I decided to get it, you bought it. Congrats! It's a great page.
Welcome to the Quitely sketch cover club!
Absolutely stunning piece of artwork. Glad to finally see you post something on CAF!
As an FYI to those who don’t know “Joe Kidd” — this gentleman has been collecting original comic book art (commissions and published art) for many years. I’ve also had the pleasure of seeing some of this man’s collection and it is incredibly impressive. He was also interviewed by Bill Cox for the CAF Channel on YouTube a few years ago. This man also used to rep artist / inker Joe Giella and was lucky enough to score a piece thanks to this man. He’s one of the good ones in this collecting game and am happy to have him as a friend.
That was very generous of him. I wasn't there but I did see footage of he and Chip Kidd signing their AVENGERS Hardcover. And Cho would do a quick doodle in those books. He's a nice guy.
Heritage switched the pictures in their listings. The Green Hornet was under THE SHADOW and The Shadow was under THE GREEN HORNET listing.
I was aiming to get the green hornet. Realized what was going on and bid on the other to ensure I get the green hornet. So I won both but really wanted one. i don't need a third Shadow piece. I explained the situation and then provided photo evidence to back up my claim. Took them a long time but they eventually resolved it and sent my package out. The Shadow piece I won for about $450 got relisted on Heritage and just ended at $1,125.00 lol.
If I get the option again, the plan is to get either Captain America or Dr Strange. Not a Strange guy but love the way he draws him. He and Art Adams fo a wonderful job on the character.
Thanks. The one I originally went for sold but the rep said he had another, showed me the image and said it was the same price. Took it and, in the end, got the better image of the two.
No, his rep was selling it and I jumped on it immediately.
He has an awesome Moon Knight piece that should be a cover that he still has available for a ridiculously low price. He also just opened up his commission list. Dude undercharges for the work he puts in. He definitely needs a rep to help and promote his stuff properly.
Years back, he was selling pieces on his FB page and needed the cash for dental surgery. Was very happy to fork over cash for this piece from this creator.
I was wondering who bought this page. It's a great one. Congrats!
It's shiny because he drew on the other side of the board. That shiny side is reminiscent of the shiny side of a comic art board. I'll be sure to ask if he ever shows up at NYCC again.
I was eyeing this great piece on Anthony's site for the longest time. Glad it went to a good home. Congrats!
I never bought sequential pages before so I had to jump at the chance when it came up.
