Thanks Marcus. Alberto actually uses a razor blade to create those thick lines, not a brush. He's posted videos of his technique online before. Worth checking out.
Thanks! I tried to make up a story in my head based on the image and this all seemed to fit.
Thanks Paul. James certainly pulled out all stops on this one. You can imagine my happiness when I saw it.
Thanks Reba. I'd just never gotten around to scanning them - not sure why. It's been a treat pulling them put for scanning and looking at them all freash again!
Thanks Steve, the timing of me posting was pure coincidence, but you're right, great storytelling from Mike as always.
Thanks Ryan. I couldn't believe it myself! And I got to watch while the piece came together!
I'm 99% sure it's a splachpage from Ult. Hulk Vs Wolverine. I intend to attribute each page/title to each prelim when I have the time to researchg and confirm.
No, it's an incredible start to the issue. The level of detail and time it must have taken to render is astounding.
It's a good read, worth picking up if you dig Cyber/Samurai/Love/Revenge-type things.
Unfortunately, I'm sure there's already a law in place that states "Only Paul McInnes may purchase any newly available Silent Dragon pages." :P Hahaha
It's been great seeing his style progress. Agree, Ult. Hulk/Wolvie and around that period are great, but I particularly love his Silent Dragon work.
Sure is! And yes, all these pencils from this period are something special.
Hi Mark, No, there were some enquiries but its actually still available if you're interested? It's Rich doing what he does best!
Thanks Reba! I tried to find an extra good run of James' sequential pages. I think I succeeded too!
It must look great next to your other page Antonio!
Hi Mark, Do you own the original pencils (as published) for this page too? Is this inked over a blueline? Looks great!
Very nice Jason! James just keeps getting better and better!
Thanks Ryan! Working at the moment on adding a bunch of new ones in the near future...
I sat next to Leinil at the show as he was working on this piece, it's a beauty! Congrats.
Nice score Micah! These are great!
An absolutely amazing piece George, I'm incredibly envious! Congrats!
