It was Mike Royar's creative decision to erase the panel borders for the first and the third panels. When you have an inker like that who makes brilliant creative choices, it just magnifies the genius. |

It's fantastic. Especially the jumping mosasaurs. I love how he finds the need to still pencil things in the "margins". Those are his models for each species of dinosaur that is in the image. Most of the time artists will have the model sheets separate from the art. In this case he drew them in the margins. |

Oh yeah, self schmuckness running high :) I must've just spaced out looking into it cuz I thought it was a killer image when I read the book. BP vs. his many foes! Nice rendering with them clean Sprouse/Story lines and the worm's eye perspective shot really adds to the bigness of the image! Sincere congrats - now lemme go check Sprouse's site out :) He even did a panther head sketch on the back of it for me. |
